Returning for the 3rd year to ‘Kent’s most welcoming golf club’, St Augustine’s did not let us down. Immaculate greens, good weather and fast fairways were always going to return high totals with all bar one member scoring at least 30 plus points.
3 members however took their game to a higher level, all returning 40 plus Stableford points. Second time 2022 winner Kingsley Williams (17HC) smashed it with a magnificent 43 points followed by Mick Bevan (19HC) and Nigel Stevenson (18HC) who both carded 40 points, Bevan taking second on count back despite Stevenson plugging an eagle 3 for 5 points on the 9th hole.
The roll-over 2s club of over £50 was won by Alix Mitchel and the winners Sweep-Stake cash prize by Paul Sequenza
Nearest the pin’s were claimed by Alix Mitchell, Bob McDougall, Kingsley Williams, Gareth Venables and new member Rhodri Walters. The wooden spoon collection continues with Chris Snell.
