After the UKs second Covid lock down in Nov/Dec it was great to get back onto the golf course. With Canterbury GC cancelling our pre-booked event we turned to our old friends at Westgate GC. Mark Young, Director of Golf squeezed society members into a very busy Saturday morning tee time bookings for the last event of the year (thanks Mark and the WBGC members for letting us join them).
With Covid restrictions in place there was no pre-match breakfast or post match presentation. Club skipper Nigel Stevenson (18hc) smashed the course with an emphatic 43 points, almost breaking his own course record of 49 points made in 2012. Simon Folwler (30hc) took 2nd place with 32 points and Ricky Woolley (34hc) 3rd with 31 points.
The club KO cup final was won by Pat Dawkins beating Ricky Woolley 2 and 1. Nearest the pins: Nigel Stevenson (2) and Pat Dawkins (2)
