26 members attended this years annual weekend golf tournament. Meon Valley Championship and Valley courses in Hampshire proved to be a tough challenge for some golfers with most holes tree lined and plenty of water hazards waiting for the stray hit.
Veteran Nigel Stevenson (18HC) took overall most points award winning 2 of the 3 qualifying events and the ‘Young Traffords’ team consisting of Karl Robson, Kevin Oxberry, Andy Oxberry and Chris Dawkins won the Sunday Texas Scramble.
Final results:
- Friday’s Championship Course 18 holes: Nigel Stevenson (38pts), runner up and new member Michael Iddenden (37pts) and Kingsley Williams took 3rd (36pts)
- Saturday mornings 9 hole on the Valley Course was a reshuffle of the previous day, Winner Nigel Stevenson (21pts), runner up Kingsley Williams (19pts) and on countback 3rd Michael Iddenden (19pts)
- Saturday afternoon 18 holes back on the Championship Course, Winner Will Weller (38pts), runner up Roy Coveney (35pts) and on countback 3rd veteran Pat Dawkins (35pts)
- Sunday Texas Scramble on the Championship Course: Winners The ‘Young Traffords’ – Karl Robson, Kevin Oxberry, Andy Oxberry, Chris Dawkins
