Standing tall and powering his way to victory with an amazing 32 points was Gareth Venables, 7 points clear of 2nd place Alix Mitchell (25pts), pushing Nigel Stevenson (25pts) back to 3rd place on countback.
With Venables the only player to make 30+ the rest of the members were struggling to return low 20s and several member only making the teens.
Will Weller (15pts) and Ian Horsham (15pts) went to count-back for the wooden spoon with the later taking the prize.
2’s club is a roll-over but 3 spot prizes were collected by Alix Mitchell and Ian Horsham for nearest the pin and Howard Turbitt for the longest drive. The sweep-stake was won by Ian Horsham
Skipper Bob McDougall was so sure of fatalities he ran a ‘guess the total’ lost ball sweep-stake which was won by Simon Fowler, one member lost 10 balls, nearly as many as his score!
In the first round of the KO Cup, Alix Mitchell beat Jason Cubbage, Gareth Venables beat Rickey Woolley, Chris Snell beat Will Weller, Rhys Batty beat Simon Fowler on count-back.
