Bevan Boys clean up at the Chestfield GC society day, dampened by heavy overnight rain, conditions made for some difficult golf with many members struggling to break through 30 points.

Mick Bevan (39pts) and Nigel Stevenson (38pts) battled for 1st place with the former taking the honours on the last hole. 3rd place went to Paul Sequenza on 34pts.
Howard Turbitt picked up 2 nearest the pin spot prizes and took the 2s Club cash, the other spot prizes were won by Gareth Venables, Paul Garlick, Will Weller and new member Simon Butteriss.
Sweep-stake cash prize went to brothers Mick and Derek Bevan.
There were 2 cup matches: Mick Beven beat Alan Mountain 11 and 8, Derek Bevan beat Roy Coveney in a sudden death play-off and Kingsley Williams beat Phil Deere 5 and 4
