Return to an old club favorite, Weald of Kent GC on a sunny autumn day was a real treat for the 16 members attending. This magnificent parkland course was no walkover with fast greens and copious ditch hazards and trees waiting for everyone. In fact it was a net par round that won the day with handicap sec Andy Oxberry picking up his first society win of the season with 36 points, new member Dave Taylor followed in second just one shot behind. A count-back was required to separate four members on 34 points for third place with Paul Sequenza ‘squeezing’ it!
Andy Oxberry also won his cup match against club treasurer Alex McBeth (see draw) and the spot prizes went to Kev Mullins (longest drive, Kev’s first spot prize win), Dave Gregory (nearest the pin – approach) and Karl Robson (nearest the pin – par 3).
There was also a presentation to newly wed members Russel and Evija McKelvey – congratulations
