Thanks for everyone turning up to our first outing to Mid Kent. A lovely breakfast and friendly bar staff made for a good welcome.
An amazing chip in sealed the deserved winners score of 40 points. Even better as it was Tony Reveley’s first win and great news.
Tight behind in second with 38 was Ivor, beating Steve by 1 point.
Par 3’s were made to look easy from Pete the Par 3 professor, winning 2 of the 5! The other 3 being won by Mick, Ian H and Nick. Tudor walloped a long drive to win that one.
Wooden spoon was un graciously received by Mick. 😅😅
Steve and Phil took the honours in the cup matches knocking out the reigning champ Ian Neary and Kevin.
Next months venue is Ashford. Many people have applied and as mentioned, this is a very very good price kindly organised by Nigel’s friend Gary who is an Ashford Captain.
As part of this kind gesture we are reciprocating this by giving five pounds per person to his cancer charity.
Gary has a charity day for £60pp, and has asked if we can supply 2 x 4 balls to join his day, further details of the day (2nd Oct’) will be found out soon. If you wish to be in that day, please shout up.
Furthermore, this is the time of the year we need a volunteer to be next years Captain, and soon, so the captain can work with the committee to start booking up next years venues. This is the best part about the captains role (apart from getting tee group 1😅).
Please speak up or talk to Nigel, Kevin or Pat.
