Lydd GC 29th March 24

One of the most revered courses on the St Stephen’s fixture list, Lydd didn’t disappoint with 30mph crosswinds but no rain!

Kev Mullins (27Hc) romped home with 36 points, 3 points clear of 2nd place Ian Horsham (15Hc) and Martin Hilden (23Hc) split on a countback decision on 33 points each.

Tony Peacock with the wooden spoon

Tony Peacock picked up the wooden spoon but it could have been anyone’s! Ian Horsham picked up 2 of the 3 nearest the pins with Pat Dawkins picked up the the 3rd spot prize, each winning a pocket of balls.

The Sweep-stake cash pot (for picking the winner) was split with James Pottle and Kev Mullins (backing himself). There was no 2s club winner, so it’s rolled over for the 2nd time

In the KO cup, Pat Dawkins beat Kingsley Williams 3 and 2, Bob McDougal beat Roy Coveney 2 and 1 and finally The days winner Kev Mullins beat Rhys Howell Batty after 2 extra holes.
