Kent cricketer and pace bowler Matt Coles (MattColes_90) has kindly agreed to join the society as club patron. Matt teamed up with club sec Nigel Stevenson, treasurer Alex McBeth and match day sec Dave Gregory at Canterbury GC for the ‘Legends’ charity golf match, coming 3rd just 3pts behind the winners. Several present and past Kent cricketers were in attendance including Alan Igglesden, John Shepperd and Darren Stephens along with Matt.
Club sec Nigel Stevenson said:
“Matt was a great laugh on the course and played some fantastic golf, just a few more lucky putts and we would have won.”
The society also managed to secure four ball days at 3 of Surrey’s top courses in the charity auction, we have 12 months to use them so let Nigel know if you’re interested – more info coming soon
