Fri 2nd Jan 26 Chestfield GC plus presentation meal

Bitterly cold but bathed in sunlight, Chestfield GC proved to be a great choice for the season finale. Ian Horsham on his last society day as skipper changed the format for the fun day to a Ryder Cup match play event. Team AC/DC winning the most pairs matches and Kevin Oxberry collecting the most points scored voucher.

After a delightful 2 course meal supplied by Chestfield catering, the overall season winners presentation commenced. Club president Karl Robson and 2025 skipper Ian Horsham marshalling proceedings.

2025 turned into the ‘Bevan’ show with brothers Derek and Mick collecting 3 of the 5 awards up for grabs. Mick Bevan was leader board poll position for most of the season but best average went to the last match of the season along with an epic sudden death play off final in the KO cup.

Ian Horsham (L) award for captain services from Paul Sequenza

After the main presentation, committee member Paul Sequenza presented out-going skipper Ian Horsham with a trophy in acknowledgement for his 2025 captaincy.

Chestfield GC pro-shop also supplied a mix of golf prizes for the raffle which raised £235.00 on the day for the ‘Hope for Ethan (MPS)’ charity
