top: Ian Horsham (L) receives the winners voucher from skipper Pat Dawkins
A frantic day at ‘The beast’ as the weather and water take their toll! Lydd did not disappoint with the earlier tee times making the most of the better weather at Lydd Golf Course.
The majority of attendees did not manage to break 30 points which reflects the challenge this course throws at the society every year.
Course management and a gritty determination was required and winner Ian Horsham (14HC) 36 points was at his best to negotiate the 18 holes. Mick Bevan (20HC) 34 points regretted some missed putts with 2nd just edging Rhys Batty (18HC) 33 points for 3rd.
