One of our premier events of the season, Walmer and Kingsdown GC reminded all attendees what downland golf is all about. A tough 18 holes resulted in a 3 way tie on 37 points. Using the countback 9/6/3 process senior golfer Pat Dawkins (17HC) nudged 1st place just ahead of Andy Mair (18HC) 2nd and skipper Ian Horsham (13HC) 3rd.
The on-course spot prizes were won by Phil Balance (longest drive), nearest the pins on the 4 par 3s: Bob McDougall, Derek Bevan, Nigel Stevenson and Pat Dawkins.
Dave Brown picked the winner in the sweepstake and Bob McDougall romped in for the wooden spoon
In the KO Cup, Ian Horsham (13) beat Bob McDougall (17) 4 and 2 to take the first final place.
