A return to Canterbury Golf Course for the annual society fun day and presentations, 4 teams took up the skippers challenge with group 1 (Bob McDougall, John Knight, Alan Mountain and Ian Horsham) winning on a dubious result having lost their team ball on the 18th! Alan Mountain also scored the most points on the day. Spot prizes were won by Nigel Stevenson, Dave Brown, John Knight, Paul Sequenza and Alan Mountain (nearest the pins), Kingsley Williams collected the longest drive pocket of logo balls.
Chocolate Orange Challenge
But the day was all about collecting chocolate oranges for our front line medical workers in East Kent. Challenge organisers Kevin Mullins and Alan Mountain were confident that the target of 600 items of confection would be met. This annual challenge is a big thanks from members of the society for their hard work and dedication.
KO Cup
This years final was put back to the last event of the year due to the weather but it was worth the wait. John Knight and Ian Horsham took to Scotland Hills with Horsham taking and early grip on the trophy going 4 up on the front 9, but the tenacious Knight fought back and on the back 9 went 1 up. All square on the 18th it was Horsham who held his nerve to win the KO Cup for the first time.
