It was the roaring 40s that stole the show on the golf course at St Augustine’s with benign conditions and true greens, Ian Horsham flew around on 46pts to take the Charity Day Trophy sponsored by Treasured Fiends Pet Cremation Services presented by Ethan and skipper Bob McDougall.
Nigel Stevenson just pipped Karl Robson by 1 shot to 2nd place on 42pts. On course spot prizes were won by Mick Bedford, Derek Bevan, Ian Horsham (2) Jim P (nearest the pins), Pat Dawkins (nearest pin approach) and Nigel Stevenson (longest drive). Derek Bevan collected the wooden spoon.
Sweep stake and 2s club cash prizes were donated to Ethan’s charity
In the KO Cup, Bob McDougall beat Derek Bevan, Pat Dawkins beat Kev Mullins.
Off the golf course it was young Ethan that took the first prize, literally! Handing out all the awards to the winners with the day dedicated to his MPS charity. The day was well supported by St Stephen’s GS members and members from Broadstairs who helped raise over £2,000.
