The Ridge GC July 18

A long awaited return to an old favorite, The Ridge was a regular on the St Stephen’s fixture list up until 4 years ago but the course fell into a poor state so we decided to drop the fixture. With new owners and evident investment in the course, The Ridge is back to its former glory and a real treat to play on.

Taking advantage of the excellent conditions Alex McBeth and Nigel Stevenson both came in on 36 points and could only be separated by a small margin on count back. Same for 3rd position with Dave Gregory and Kevin Mullins needing several re-counts to split the 2 players. The final order: 1st Nigel Stevenson, 2nd Alex McBeth and 3rd Kevin Mullins.

Nigel also claimed the longest drive as the wind took most competitors off the fairway. Ian Jackson and Karl Robson winning the 2 nearest the pin prizes.

The club also welcomed new member Shaun Rutt who despite playing with borrowed clubs managed to complete his round with over 30 points.

Congratulations to the winners and The Ridge GC for all the hard work the staff have put in.
