The River Valley Golf Course inflicted everything but snow as the elements reduced the scores and 3 members walked off! Strong winds and heavy rain eventually made way to some glorious sunny conditions on this immaculate parkland North Kent golf course.
Making the most with another blistering total, Simon Fowler (39hc) romped home with an unassailable 41 points, 5 clear of another consistent round by Kev Oxberry (16hc) and on count-back Carl Bolton (17hc) 32 points, just edging Andy Stevenson and Ricky Woolley who both bade up for weather affected front 9s.
The KO cup match between Carl Bolton (17hc) and Mick Bevan (21hc) was one of the tightest on record as the lead changed 4 times over the 18 holes. At one point Mick Bevan was 3up but a tenacious Carl Bolton clawed back to take the match with the last putt. See KO Cup draw update
