Sene Valley is probably one of the most challenging courses on the society fixture list but with low wind speeds and glorious sun the scores were high and it was the higher handicaps that had the advantage.
Mark Vinter (23hc) took the 18 holes by storm with an inspiring round of 43 points, followed by Nigel Stevenson (20hc) and back from his charity walk, Kevin Mullins (31hc) both scoring 39 points. Nigel taking second place on count back.
Spot prizes on the day: nearest the pin Mike Barham, longest drive Karl Robson, Nearest the pin approach shot Mike Barham again with Paul Sequenza taking the 2’s club pot.
As the cup matches continue, Nigel Stevenson, Alex McBeth and Andy Oxberry all progressed. Cup winners also received a one off prize of a golf umbrella kindly donated by new member Russel McKelvey from bigmack-tours-south-africa.com
