Drama at Upchurch River Valley golf course. An unseasonably warm dry and sunny day meant the 21 members who attended had a great day for the last scoring event of 2025

Most Points Winner
Mick Bevan (18HC) had it all to do as leader of the most points table leading up to Upchurch but he wasn’t going to let anyone take his crown with an emphatic 36 points win bringing his total for the year to an impressive 315 points (despite a missed event in August).
2nd place and overall leader board runner up was 2023/24 winner Ian Horsham (12HC) who nudged Ian Neary (15HC) into 3rd place on countback.

The cup final also play at Upchurch went down to the wire with the match all square after 18 holes. It was decided between the players to decide the winner by sudden death rather than countback with Ian Neary victorious at the second extra hole putting 2 new names on the trophies to be presented and Chestfield in Jan 26
Upchurch was also selected for the societies annual Chocolate Orange challenge with donations going to our local front line health workers. A huge thank you to everyone who donated Chocolate Oranges, we collected an amazing total of 276! We’ve also received £61 from members.
