A stunning Faversham Golf Course welcomed St Stephen’s Golf Society on a perfect day for golf, and it was septuagenarian Mark Bundell (28HC) who took full advantage winning with 40 points.
2nd place Simon Fowler (27HC) and 3rd place Kevin Mullins (25HC) also finished on 40 points with the top 3 separated by a tight countback decision.
Also going to the wire in the KO cup, Paul Sequenza (16HC) and Bob McDougall (17HC) had to go to sudden death to decide the winner, this was a miraculous fight back by Sequenza who was 5 down at the halfway hut.
Spot prizes went to new member Phil Ballance (nearest the pin and longest drive), Bob McDougall, Mark Blundell and Simon Fowler (all nearest the pins).
Sweepstake was collected by Paul Sequenza and the wooden spoon went to Alan Mountain after a long medical lay off.
