On a glorious day at Broome Park 27 members enjoyed a mid season extravaganza of great weather and golf. With only 11 Stableford points seperating the top 20 player and 17 members scoring 30 or more, it went to the last few holes.
New member Demetrios 'Lou' Loizou enjoyed his first outing despite a disappointing 19 points (after a long lay off) saying "I had a great day. Andy (skip) and Ady (treas) welcomed me and introduced me to our four ball group and few others. On the whole it was a very enjoyable day except for my golf!".
Royston Gough and Karl Robson finished in the top three again as the league competition starts to show early contenders for the Society Shield. Winner Royston also picked up nearest the pin and runner up Rob Gutsell bagged the longest drive.

Carlo Valente (14) and Danny Wrench (18) battled out 2nd and 3rd positions finishing 35pts apiece, new member Carlo taking 2nd on count back.
Longest drive also went to Carlo Valente with old hand Steve Girdwood narrowly missing a hole in one to take the nearest the pin award.

On an open course with many water and sand hazards anyone scoring in the upper 20's was going to be in contention.
Top of the score board was Royston Gough (14hc) with a gritty 28pts, and Mark 'Buck' Burns close behind (23hc) on 27pts, just pipping Will Scull (15hc) on count back 27pts.
